NOTES: The CH 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a Stitch. You will be placing one stitch in each stitch across. A tighter tension is needed for this stitch pattern. Check out the tutorial for this stitch pattern(not the bag) on my YOUTUBE channel for help: https://youtu.be/yqxAw9cmjoo
In Part one we will be creating the front panel of your bag so go grab your yarn and let's get started!
To begin CH 48.
ROW 1: HDC in the 2nd CH from the hook, repeat(SC, HDC, DC, HDC) across to the end. You will finish with a SC in the next to the last ST and a HDC in the last ST
ROW 2: CH 1 & turn, HDC in the first ST, repeat (DC, HDC, SC, HDC) across to the end. You will finish with a DC in the next to the last ST and a HDC in the last ST
(NOTE: you will always be placing HDC's in HDC'S, SC's in DC's and DC's in SC's from the previous row)
ROW 3: CH 1 & turn, HDC in the first ST, repeat (SC, HDC, DC, HDC) across to the end. You will finish with a SC in the next to the last ST and a HDC in the last ST
ROW 4: REPEAT ROW 2
ROW 5: REPEAT ROW 3
Continue repeating rows 2 and
3 until you have a total of 29 rows. Cut and tie off.
Note: All the even numbered rows will be a repeat of ROW 2 and the odd numbered rows are a repeat of ROW 3.
