Eris Headwrap Crochet Pattern

Learn my Eris Stitch design & create a cute accessory to boot! This pattern is written to fit the average adult female head circumference but since it is worked side to side it can easily be adapted to other sizes.

Finished piece should measure approximately 4.5” wide by approximately 20” around. Due to this stitch design this band will stretch quite a bit.
Here's what you'll need to get started.......
Materials:
Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek yarn(approx. 70 yds)
I(Boye 5.25mm) Hook
Scissors
Needle
Abbreviations(US Terms):
SK = Skip
sts = Stitches
ST = Stitch
SL= Slip Stitch
CH = Chain
SC = Single Crochet
FPHDC= Front Post Half Double Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
To begin CH 20
ROW 1: DC in the 4th CH from the hook, place 2 FPHDC on the DC, SK 2 chains, repeat(DC in the next 2 CHs, place 2 FPHDC on the 2nd DC, SK 2) 4 times
ROW 2: CH 3(counts as first ST) & turn, DC next ST, place 2 FPHDC on the DC, SK 2, repeat(DC in the next 2 sts, place 2 FPHDC on the 2nd DC, SK 2) 4 times, SK the last 2 sts
ROWS 3-26: REPEAT ROW 2
ROW 27: CH 1(does not count as a ST) & turn, SK the first ST, SC in the next 17 sts, SL in the next ST.
Seam:
CH1 & turn, fold your piece in half and SL ST the corresponding ST to the starting CH across. Cut, tie off, & weave in your ends OR Cut leaving a long tail to wrap tightly at the seam and cinch up the center.
