Caylen Beanie Pattern

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

I will be taking part in the 24 Days of Quickies hop this season & I'm soooooo excited! I was so excited to be accepted into this spectacular, highly anticipated, event this year that I even designed a brand-new hat just for the occasion!

If you know anything about me you know I am a sucker for great texture & anything to keep me warm when it's frigid outside. I knew I wanted to create a super cute slouch hat for this event but of course as soon as I told my brain I needed something it said "nope we're making stockings and cup cozies, and blankets, and ornaments, AND everything but hats!"

I finally said enough is enough, prayed & grabbed my favorite yarn & hook and went to work. POOF! Out Popped a beanie! After adding a few accents, I ran to my Super Hero Testers and begged them to drop everything to test this one ASAP. Then started bugging my favorite model to come visit her mom for a photo shoot. I have totally been blessed with some amazing people who put up with my crazy.

I really prefer hats that are created from the top down because they just seem to work up much quicker. Thanks to this amazing yarn & the stitches used in the Caylen Beanie design it turns out pretty stretchy. Your final measurement should be approximately 10” wide at the brim & 9” tall, but will stretch larger making it perfect for most adults.
