10" Doll Pants Crochet Pattern

I've been working hard on creating cute little items for a bunch of 10" dolls I picked up for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. I absolutely love this mission and have been lucky enough to take part in it with my church for many years now. This year I have jumped on board the organization team and am spending every moment I can gathering up goodies, making items, and encouraging others to do the same. So, to encourage and help all of you do the same I will be adding all my cute little patterns here on my blog over the months for you all to use too.

10" Doll Pants Pin Pic

These pants should fit most any 10" dolls. I grabbed a bunch of these Toymazing Newborn Twin Dolls that came in a set of 2 for $5 from our local Family Dollar store that are just the right size. I plan to do as many as I can for the 5–9-year-old girls age group.

Here's what you'll need to get started.......

Materials:

Mainstays Yarn(approx. 35 yds)

H(5 mm) Hook

Scissors

Needle

Abbreviations(US Terms):

SK = Skip

sts = Stitches

SL = Slip Stitch

ST = Stitch

CH = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

BLO = Back Loop Only

HDC = Half Double Crochet

Finished pants should measure approx. 4” long down the center by 4” wide at the waist. The leg opening needs to measure 1.75”-2”(starting chain) folded for the pants to fit well. The SL seam will be the front of your pants.

LEGS(make 2):

To begin CH 16 & SL to your first CH to connect.

ROUND 1:  CH 1(does not count as a ST), SC in each CH around, SL to your beginning SC to connect(16)

ROUND 2: CH 1(does not count as a ST), BLO SC in each CH around, SL to your beginning SC to connect(16)

ROUNDS 3-6: CH 1(does not count as a ST), SC in each st around, SL to your beginning SC to connect(16)

Leg should measure approx. 2.25” wide by 1.5” tall. You can adapt the length by adding more rounds before continuing on.

Cut & tie off your first leg, continue on after your second leg.

ROUND 7: *lay your first leg on top of your 2nd & line up your seams, SC the first 3 sts of both legs together, SC 13 sts around your 2nd leg only, SC in the SL of the 2nd leg, **SC in the end of your first ST of this round, SC in the same ST as your first of this round on your 1st leg, SC 13 around your 1st leg, SC in the same ST as your 3rd of this round on the 1st leg, SL to your 4th SC of this round to connect(30 sts around, not counting the starting 3 connecting sts)
